The Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University solicits applications for up to three J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorships beginning Fall 2022.

The J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorship is a three-year position offered to recent PhDs with outstanding research potential. Candidates in all areas of pure mathematics are encouraged to apply. The teaching load is three courses per academic year.
