• Feature selection algorithms for Machine Learning based on recent sparsification techniques, • Mathematical modeling of Bias and Fairness in AI algorithms, • Applications of Random Matrices/Graphs and concentration inequalities in Data Science and Machine Learning.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Pierre Youssef and Prof. Hanan Salam. The Postdoctoral Associate will be appointed for a duration of two years, which could be extended. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other related field. The ideal candidate will have solid mathematical background together with solid knowledge of machine leaning and Data Science.

Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. The terms of employment are very competitive and the position provides salary higher than internationally competitive rates for Post-Doctoral positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for children), together with full health insurance and retirement contributions. The UAE does not levy income tax.

This position is not in the United States. The applicant must be willing to relocate to the United Arab Emirates.
