Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)

The Department of Mathematics at Tufts University invites applications for a tenure-track position in mathematics, beginning Fall 2023, at the assistant professor level. Preference will be given to applicants with background in probability theory and its applications. Given the fundamental use of probabilistic models in various fields of mathematics and engineering it is expected that a successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across Tufts University. Applicants must hold a doctorate in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, by the beginning of the appointment, must have an active research program, show promise of outstanding research, and exhibit a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and teach courses in probability and related areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
