Postdoctoral Assistant Professor/D.J. Lewis Research Assistant Professor

The University of Michigan, Department of Mathematics, invites applications for Postdoctoral Assistant Professorships and D.J. Lewis Research Assistant Professorships, to begin September 2018. These non-tenure-track positions may be renewed annually for up to three years, and are designed to provide mathematicians with favorable circumstances for academic career development in research and teaching. Assistant professorships have a teaching responsibility of two courses per semester; D.J. Lewis Research positions have reduced teaching loads. These positions may be combined with other postdoctoral fellowships and grant funding, giving additional reductions in teaching responsibility. Preference is given to candidates who receive the Ph.D. degree in 2017 or later and who submit a completed application by December 1, 2017.
