Applications are invited for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position effective August 16, 2023 to take the role of Director of Precalculus. The position will be responsible for the coordination of courses and programs for undergraduates across the University taking precalculus and developmental courses. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Mathematical Education or a closely related field. Final authorization of position is subject to the availability of funding.

Responsibilities include teaching, coordination of courses, collection and analysis of data concerning student success and progression, oversight of student placement thresholds, working with the Director of Calculus to ensure successful student progression to the calculus sequence, and advising the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional competence in teaching and excellent organizational and leadership skills in a higher education environment.

Applications should include a cover letter; vita; teaching statement; a description of teaching, leadership, and organizational experiences; and at least three (3) letters of recommendation focusing primarily on teaching, curriculum development, organization, and leadership.
