Position title: Lecturer in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applicants for a full-time Lecturer position beginning in Fall 2022. Lecturers are vital to the teaching mission of the mathematics department. The Lecturer will teach primarily first year mathematics courses as well as some second and third year courses. Lecturers will normally teach three courses per semester and perform administrative duties associated with the lower- division mathematics program. Lecturers also develop the curriculum in our first year service courses. The selected candidate will be appointed to a nine-month faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.

The position offers competitive salary and full benefits. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or closely related fields by the time the appointment begins and are expected to present evidence of excellence in teaching.
