The Department of Mathematics at Fordham University invites applications, subject to final budgetary approval, for three Peter M. Curran Research Instructorships, two to be based at our Rose Hill campus and one at our Lincoln Center campus, and all to start in the Fall of 2023.

These are fixed term positions to be offered to a graduating or recent PhD who has demonstrated strong research potential and success in undergraduate teaching. The initial term is two years with an option, subject to satisfactory performance in the initial term, for one two-year renewal. The expected annual base salary for these positions is $70,000-$73,000.

Candidates in all areas of pure and applied mathematics are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in candidates who can enhance the diversity of our faculty and curriculum, whose specialties give promise of leading to research collaborations with our permanent faculty, or who have applied their work in collaborations with researchers in non-mathematical disciplines. Please cite any experience you have in inclusive pedagogical practices that support the success of first-generation college students, women, and historically underrepresented groups.
