The College of Mathematical Sciences of Harbin Engineering University invites applications for multiple full-time open-rank positions in areas of Data Sciences and Artificial intelligence that will begin in Fall 2023 (or on a mutually agreed date). These include visiting positions, tenure-track positions, tenured positions, and positions for distinguished professorship. The Group of Uncertainty Artificial Intelligence is one of the core branches of the College of Mathematical Sciences, Harbin Engineering University, focusing on the fundamental theory and methods of data sciences and artificial intelligence, especially those related to uncertainty theory and methods. The faculty members have been working on statistics learning, granular computing and knowledge discovery, machine learning, deep learning, and specifically interpretable artificial intelligence. Many innovative contributions have been achieved in theory, methodology, and applications, including high-level papers and patents.

Responsibilities for these positions include mathematical research, undergraduate and graduate teaching (1+1), and departmental and university service. At the time of appointment, candidates are required to have a PhD degree in Statistics/Mathematics or a closely related field. The candidates are also expected to have demonstrated an excellent research track record and a solid teaching commitment. We will provide the following: Highly competitive annual salary. Depending on rank and experience, starting salary is generally higher than the average university in mainland China. In addition to the basic salary, an annual bonus will also be offered.
