The Department of Mathematics of Bar-Ilan University invites applications from outstanding candidates for tenure-track positions, beginning October 1, 2021. Strong candidates in all areas of pure and applied mathematics will be given full consideration. Preference will be given to strong candidates in statistics. The Department of Mathematics is a leading center of mathematical research, with two research institutes, active seminars in a number of sub-disciplines (algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, combinatorics, geometry and topology, data science, probability etc.), international conferences, and inspiring faculty / post-doc / graduate student communication. Successful tenure-track candidates are expected to conduct independent and original research at the highest academic level, to demonstrate academic leadership, to apply for Israeli and international research grants, and to cooperate with other researchers within as well as outside of the department. Responsibilities of a tenure-track position include teaching both required and elective courses in the field of specialization and in related disciplines, in the Department of Mathematics and in other departments in the university.
