Responsibilities for this position will include teaching nine credit hours per semester, directing the department's Actuarial Science Program, engaging in scholarship leading to peer-reviewed publications, and participating in departmental and university committees.

Expectations with respect to the Actuarial Science Program will include teaching upper-level probability & statistics courses, mentoring undergraduate research projects, undergraduate advising, career placement support, contributing to student recruitment and retention, and administrative responsibility for the program.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for the undergraduate experience and a commitment to excellence in their teaching and research. Applicants who can bring their enthusiasm for mathematics into courses for majors and non-majors, as well as introductory and upper-level courses are strongly encouraged to apply.

A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required. Evidence of potential for both excellence in research and high-quality teaching is required. Individuals with expertise and experience in actuarial science are preferred. Post-doctoral and college-level teaching experience is also preferred.
