The National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (NCMIS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites outstanding young researchers in mathematical sciences to apply for up to 5 postdoc positions in 2018. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the following research areas:
-- Computational materials science, -- Computational methods for fluid-structure interaction problems, -- Economic analysis and financial mathematics, -- Mathematical theory and methods for big data and machine learning, -- Mathematical theory and methods of artificial intelligence, -- Mathematical methods for cell reprogramming and gene editing, -- Network game theory and control of complex systems, -- Quantum algorithm and crypt-analysis Successful applicants are expected to conduct research full-time in areas mentioned above. The position is for two years. The amount of annual salary plus fringe benefits is 300K RMB (fringe benefits are about 20% for Chinese citizens and 5% for non-Chinese citizens). Other welfare benefits will be in accordance with the rules of AMSS. According to relevant rules, the applicant's age should not exceed 35 years, and the time of obtaining a doctorate should not exceed three years. The positions will open until filled. Based at AMSS of CAS, the National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences was founded on November 24, 2010 as part of the “Innovation 2020” program launched by CAS. NCMIS aims to establish a national research platform for interdisciplinary cooperation between mathematics and other research fields, including information technology, economics and finance, advanced manufacturing, materials and environment, biology and medicine, physics and engineering. The center is expected to bring together domestic and overseas research forces in mathematics and related disciplines to solve key mathematical and scientific problems and fostering the creation of new interdisciplinary fields.
