The School of Mathematical Sciences at QUT has an exciting position for a Lecturer (Level B) in the discipline of Applied and Computational Mathematics, who is able to provide strategic capacity in both research and teaching within the Discipline. More widely, the Lecturer will contribute to QUT’s research strength in computational modelling and simulation science. Your research will engage with one or more of the research themes of the Discipline, including: mathematical modelling of physical processes with industrial applications; modelling in ecology and evolution, conservation science, biology or medicine; computational simulation of large, multi-scaled or complex systems; and developing new mathematical techniques and analysis of mathematical models.

Your teaching will focus on providing high-quality learning experiences for mathematics, engineering and physical sciences students who want to combine their studies in mathematics with real-world applications and computational simulations. The ability to teach into units on advanced data visualisation techniques, scientific computing and simulation science would be beneficial.

The classification for this position is Academic Level B (Lecturer) which has an annual remuneration range of $110,428 to $131,147pa. This is inclusive of an annual salary range of $93,313 to 110,821pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading.
