Lecturer of Mathematics Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Full-time, Non-tenure-track, Position #F0332

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a two-year lecturer position in mathematics to begin August 2018. The position includes an initial contract for one year with renewal for the second year contingent on performance. Professional responsibilities include teaching 15 credit hours per semester of undergraduate mathematics courses, including quantitative reasoning courses in Longwood’s new Core Curriculum and courses for mathematics majors.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mathematics strongly preferred, ABD or Master’s in Mathematics considered. 18 graduate hours in Mathematics required. Successful college teaching experience preferred. Experience teaching mathematics with technology preferred.
