Position Description:

SIG is a global quantitative trading firm founded with an entrepreneurial mindset and a rigorous analytical approach to decision making.

We commit our own capital to trade financial products around the world. Building virtually all of our own trading technology from scratch, we are leaders and innovators in high performance, low latency trading. Our traders, quants, developers, and systems engineers work side by side to develop and implement our trading strategies. Each individual brings their unique expertise every day to help us make optimal decisions in the global financial markets.

See the impact of your research:
Quants at SIG collaborate with our traders and developers to turn quantitative methods into strategies that identify and capitalize on trading opportunities. Our Quants apply their mathematical thinking, analysis of complex datasets and problem solving skills to create solutions in today’s competitive and constantly changing landscape of financial markets. As a Quantitative Research Associate, you will join a group of PhDs dedicated to the research, development, and implementation of trading strategies and pricing models at SIG. You will have the unique opportunity to learn in both a continued, structured classroom environment and by working alongside fellow researchers. You will also benefit from the tight feedback loop of your research as you will see the impact your work has on our business quickly.

What we're looking for:
Quant Researchers traditionally have a PhD level background in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or a related field. While we also look for strong, practical computing skills, a specific language proficiency is less important than your ability to develop efficient and reliable code.
