The Department of Mathematics at The University of Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the area of Mathematical Biology/Computational Neuroscience.

Selection will be based on evidence of outstanding research accomplishments or potential, and on evidence of excellent teaching. Experience beyond the Ph.D. is desirable. We seek an excellent researcher who has substantial experience in cross-disciplinary work at the interface of mathematics, computation and neuroscience, and whose research interests complement those of the current faculty. The candidate will aggressively seek external funding, and engage in and initiate collaborations across campus. Candidates for the position must be committed to outstanding teaching and mentoring of students at all levels of undergraduate and graduate studies. A Ph.D. in a related field is required for this position. Screening of applications will begin November 20, 2017. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
