Office of the Dean Faculty of Mathematics University of Waterloo

The Office of the Dean of Mathematics in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo invites applications for two definite-term Lecturer positions. These appointments will have an initial term of three years with a possibility of renewal. The appointed Lecturers may be considered for a promotion to an on-going appointment thereafter as Continuing Lecturer if they demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching and service. The expected start date is September 1, 2018.

A PhD or a Masters degree and evidence of excellence in teaching are required. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate mathematics education and excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties will include teaching six courses per year in core Mathematics undergraduate courses and service/administrative work within the University.

The salary range for the position is $70,000-$115,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
