The Department of Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for Harry Bateman Teaching Fellowships in Mathematics, beginning September 2023.

 

Bateman Teaching Fellowships will be offered to recent PhD recipients who show strong research promise, preferably in one of the areas in which the Caltech Mathematics Faculty is currently active.

 

Appointments are normally for three years.  Appointees will be expected to fulfill teaching duties (three one-quarter courses per academic year), pursue their own research program, and be in residence even when not teaching.  Summer can be used for one-month vacation, research and other scholarly activities.

 

These positions will be offered if funds are available.
