The Mathematics Department in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oregon offers BS, BA, MS, MA, and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics. Instruction is provided by 32 tenure-line faculty, 14 career instructor faculty, and about 70 graduate employees. We teach large numbers of students from various units across campus. We invite applications for a full-time career instructor. Competitive applicants will be capable of outstanding teaching at all undergraduate levels, in both large and small classroom environments. The teaching load is ten classes per year spread out over three terms, with reductions available for teaching large or difficult courses. There is also an expectation of a limited amount of departmental service. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in mathematics, math education, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience at the university level.
