Assistant Professor of Mathematics The University of
Oregon’s Mathematics Department invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position, to begin in fall 2024. Competitive applicants will have a record of
research excellence, a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching, and a
commitment to promoting an inclusive community. We are particularly interested in growing our
analysis group, but we are open to hiring someone in any area of mathematics. We are a diverse and growing
department with strengths in Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Combinatorics, Differential
Geometry, Mathematical Biology, Number Theory, Representation Theory, Topology,
and Probability. The department has a
thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students, 32 tenured and
tenure-track faculty, 8 postdocs, and 15 lecturers. We
particularly welcome applications from scholars who are from populations
historically underrepresented in the academy, and/or who have experience working
with students from diverse backgrounds. Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, along with at least
one year of postdoctoral work.
