The Temple University Department of Mathematics invites applications for one postdoctoral (non tenure track) position in applied mathematics, with the title Research Assistant Professor. The initial appointment will be for the 2021-2022 academic year, with renewal to a second year pending successful completion of the first. The teaching load is one course per semester.

We are looking for candidates who will further strengthen the department's research in the areas of Calculus of Variations and PDE with applications to multiscale problems in Continuum Mechanics. The candidate is expected to collaborate with Dr. Yury Grabovsky. Particular expertise or interest in Non-Linear Elasticity, Homogenization, Composite Materials, and Calculus of Variations is welcome but not required. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by the time of appointment.
