Job Responsibilities Teaching (90%) Attend class meetings and deliver course content. Evaluate student performance and submit grading. Respond to student inquiries and meet with students. Hold at least 2 JustAsk hours (https://r.umn.edu/academics-research/academic-resources/just-ask) for every 3-credit course taught. Course Preparation (10%) Complete orientation and training. Meet with appropriate faculty and gather information as needed. Develop course content and syllabus as needed.

Required Qualifications A Master's degree in Statistics or Mathematics (or closely related field with graduate coursework) is required to be hired as a Teaching Specialist A PhD degree in Statistics or Mathematics (or closely related field) is required to be hired as a Lecturer Educational experience in a context related to the teaching assignment The University of Minnesota requires that an employee has authorization to work in the US in which the role is based. This position is temporary, non-tenured, and will be compensated on a per credit hour basis.
