For tenured or tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant, associate, full or distinguished research fellow, the candidates must be established mathematicians with strong track records in research.

Housing, at a fraction of the market rent, and salary enhancements are available for the first few years for tenured and tenure-track appointments. Additionally, the Institute of Mathematics has abundant research fund in its annual budget. New faculty members will be able to hire postdocs.

Taipei has short direct flights to most major cities in East Asia. As a metropolis it enjoys low cost of living, large city amenities, free secondary education, and very low university tuition. Taiwan is also known for its world-famous food and for an excellent and a very affordable health care system covered by its national health insurance.
