The School of Mathematical Sciences at Nankai University grew out of the Department of Mathematics founded by Mr. Jiang Lifu in 1920. In the past hundred years, it has cultivated a number of outstanding talents for the development of modern mathematics, among which the famous mathematician Mr. Chern Shiing-Shen, the famous mathematician and educator Mr. Jiang Zehan and Mr. Wu Daren are the representatives.

The mathematics discipline of Nankai University is a national key discipline. The School of Mathematical Sciences has three second-level national key disciplines: Pure Mathematics, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, and Applied Mathematics. It has the right to award doctoral degrees in first-level mathematics disciplines, and has set up a mathematics post-doctoral mobile station.

The College now has teaching and research institutions such as Department of Mathematics, Department of Probability Statistics, Department of Information and Data Science, Department of Applied Mathematics, Department of Scientific and Engineering Computing, Department of Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science, Department of Advanced Mathematics Teaching and Computing Laboratory. The College has two undergraduate programs, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics & Information and Computational Science. It has set up the National Basic Science Research and teaching talent training Base, which was formerly the mathematics pilot class initiated by Mr. Chern Shiing-Shen. Graduate students are recruited and trained in six secondary disciplines: Pure Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, applied mathematics, Bioinformatics and Mathematical economics.

The School of Mathematical Sciences is looking for talents in basic mathematics, computational mathematics, Probability Theory and mathematical Statistics, applied mathematics, bioinformatics and mathematical economics. The specific positions and conditions are as follows:

(1) Introduction of talent positions

1. High-end talents: Generally, they should be professors or associate professors in well-known universities (or research institutions).

2. Position of Young academic leader: under 40 years old; Outstanding young talents who are at the forefront of scholars of the same age in relevant disciplines, such as academic level, innovation ability and development potential.

3. Professor position: Academic leaders who have met the requirements for the professorship of Nankai University.

4. Associate Professor position: young academic backbone qualified for Associate Professor position in Nankai University.

(2)Recruitment positions

Doctoral degree or post-doctoral degree from famous universities (or research institutions) at home and abroad, under 35 years old.

(3) Post-doctoral position

Under the age of 35, graduated from famous universities (or research institutions)
