Illinois Institute of Technology, Department of Applied Mathematics
The Department of Applied Mathematics is the only mathematics department at IIT. During the past decade we have undergone a period of tremendous growth, with 10 of our present 14 tenured and tenure-track faculty being hired during that time. We actively conduct research - much of it collaborative - and attract external funding from various government and commercial sources. Faculty members teach a mixture of graduate, upper division undergraduate, and service courses. Early career faculty are spared from heavy administrative loads, but they are involved in helping us develop new courses and improve current courses at all levels. The culture of our department is collegial, transparent, communicative, and entrepreneurial.
We are seeking like-minded applied mathematicians to join us. The ideal candidate will have common interests with other colleagues but bring expertise or experience that we lack. If that fits your description, please apply for the position(s) that we are advertising.
