The Department of Mathematics at University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Director of the Pre-Calculus Program. The position is central to the efforts of
the Department of Mathematics to develop student-centered, active
learning classes. The department sees this position as important, not
only in its own right, but also as a channel for informing the
department about future pedagogical developments that use cutting-edge
teaching methods and blended learning formats. Position Description: The person in this position develops and directs the pre-calculus program in collaboration with Mathematics faculty and staff. Currently the pre-calculus program includes Math 96: Preparatory Algebra, Math 112: Algebra, Math 113: Trigonometry, Math 114: Algebra and Trigonometry, and Math 141: Quantitative Reasoning. This position carries a teaching load of 3-4 courses per year, at least one of which will be a pre-calculus course. How to apply:
