A two-year postdoctoral position in random matrices and closely related areas (e.g. disordered quantum systems, random Schroedinger operators) may be open in the group of Laszlo Erdos at ISTA, near Vienna (https://ist.ac.at/en/research/erdoes-group/) Our group focuses on spectral statistics of random matrices motivated by physics using techniques from functional analysis, stochastic processes and supersymmetric methods. Very strong skills in “hard analysis” are necessary. Starting date is flexible but candidates must obtain their PhD degree beforehand. Applicants should submit their application material (CV, list of publication, research statement and at least three letters of recommendation concerning research potential) online on www.mathjobs.org/jobs. |
