Job Description

Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Baltimore, a partnership between Bard College and the Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematics, beginning August 2021. Field of specialization is open; experience teaching Algebra I and/or Geometry at the high school level is preferred. The Bard early colleges enable talented and highly motivated students to complete a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree from Bard College within four years of study. The academic program emphasizes social justice and equity practices, small classes, and a commitment to teaching a diverse student body. The successful applicant for this position must be committed to teaching classes at the high school level; potential to teach at the college level is available for candidates who will have at least an MS in mathematics or related field at the time of employment. In addition, candidates will be expected to participate fully in the life of the school, including student advising, club advising, and committee service. To Apply
