The department of mathematics at Ecole polytechnique invites applications for two full time Distinguished University Professor positions. Applicants are expected to have a solid professional experience in research and teaching and to have gained international recognition . Applicants should be prepared to get involved in long-term scientific and mentoring projects in the Centre de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz (CMLS), the research unit in pure mathematics at Ecole polytechnique. Ecole polytechnique is one of the leading «Grandes Ecoles» in France - the elite education system parallel to the university network in France - and its department of mathematics is among the top-rated mathematics departments in France, located in Palaiseau, near the Orsay campus and the Bures-sur-Yvette Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques (IHES).
