Position Description

Taylor University is seeking a one-year, visiting appointment in mathematics. The chosen candidate would be responsible for courses potentially ranging from remedial mathematics, to our Foundaitonal Core liberal arts course, up through multivariable calculus, depending on the expertise of the candidate. The Mathematics Department supports programs in Engineering, Chemistry, Education, Business, and Computer Science, as well as its own programs in data science, interdisciplinary mathematics, and mathematics education. The Mathematics Department also has a strong spirit of cooperation with the Bedi Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (BCTLE) and a deep commitment to active learning and student-centered teaching. There are no scholarship or service expectations, beyond an encouragement to join the department in social activities. The position does require a clear commitment to evangelical Christian faith (but not to a particular denomination).
