Position Summary

The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta invites applications for a Max Wyman Assistant Professorship in the area of Statistics. While the position is not tenure-track and has a 3-year fixed-term appointment, it offers the successful candidate the academic affiliation to apply for grant funding, to establish a research program in an excellent research environment, and also to further the teaching experience within the teaching load of 2 courses per year. The start date of the position is July 1, 2023.

Applicants are expected to have a PhD degree in Statistics (or equivalent), demonstrated accomplishments and clear promise in research in any area of Statistical Sciences, as well as a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching.
