The Department of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for one Postdoctoral Research Associate (non-tenure eligible) position in Mathematical Data Science with an appointment beginning August, 1st 2022. The successful candidate will work directly with Professor Vasileios Maroulas in the emerging area of topological data analysis, computational statistics, and machine learning. The position is a 12-month 100% research appointment renewable for one year, based upon annual performance. A PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent degree is required. Candidates expecting to graduate this summer 2022 will also be considered. Salary will be competitive.
