The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Swarthmore College invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics beginning Fall 2020. We seek candidates with an active research program and a demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of introductory and advanced courses that speaks to and motivates undergraduates from diverse backgrounds.

Applications should also include a curriculum vitae, research statement, teaching statement, and three letters of recommendation, including at least one specifically commenting on teaching.


Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mathematics and a record of excellence in both scholarship and undergraduate teaching. The teaching load for tenure-track faculty starting in 2020-21 will be four courses a year.
