The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Swarthmore College invites applications for a tenure-track position in applied mathematics, broadly defined, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2023.

We seek candidates with an active research program that extends opportunities for student research in applied mathematics while broadening our existing applied mathematics expertise. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or outstanding promise in teaching a range of courses within our applied mathematics curriculum in a way that motivates undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. The teaching load is four courses a year, normally divided equally between the two semesters. Candidates should have a PhD in hand by Fall 2023.
