The University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time, benefit eligible postdoctoral position in high-dimensional probability and geometry and their applications. Particular interests of the department include concentration of measure and geometric functional analysis with applications to, e.g., statistical learning theory, signal processing and phase retrieval.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with members of the Algebraic and Probabilistic Methods in Data Recovery (APMDR) group that was recently formed in our department. The department also expects to hire a postdoctoral researcher with interests in algebra/algebraic geometry who will also work with the APMDR group.

The position begins in September 2020 and can be renewed for a period of up to three years. Subject to budgetary approval the teaching load is three one-semester courses per academic year. Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field by August 1, 2020.
