Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Data Science in the Department of Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) of the Ridge College of Intelligence Studies and Applied Sciences, to begin in 2022 Fall Semester, with preference given to those with experience in applications of data science. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Mathematics or any related field with an emphasis on data science. ABD candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates should be prepared to teach courses in data science at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including in a state-of-the-art cyber research and education center. In addition to teaching excellence, faculty are expected to engage in scholarly activity and participate in service to the community and institution.
