The Department of Mathematics and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Texas invite applications for a joint appointment as a tenure-track assistant professor in biostatistics, to begin in Fall 2018.

The responsibilities of this position are to pursue research in biostatistics or a related field, and teach undergraduate and graduate biostatistics courses in both the departments. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester with typically a 2-1 load during the initial years of the appointment.

The successful candidate for the assistant professor position will have a Ph.D. in biostatistics or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to outstanding applicants with previous academic research experience, including postdoctoral training and undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching, and a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
