The Center of Geophysics and Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Mathematics, Harbin Institute of Technology (China), is seeking talents with exceptional skills to expand the scope of our research. The Center was founded in 2016 and has since then grown into an important research center for mathematical geophysics and artificial intelligence (AI). You will work among a sizeable group of young and motivated researchers. We highly encourage international young researchers to apply.

The department offers positions of different levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor. All positions are limited to 6 years with the possibility to apply for promotion / tenure once per year. You are expected to undergo your own research projects as well as establish collaborative research projects within the department. Actively acquiring third-party funding is highly encouraged and will have a positive effect on the yearly salary. You will also hold your own Bachelor and Master level lectures as part of the position. The salary and starting funding offered is shown in the following table, where the exact offer will be decided based on the individual qualification.

For highly qualified senior researchers, we also offer a part-time position as Chair Professor with a salary of 100.000 RMB per month. For this position, you are required to spend at least two months per year at the university.
