The Department of Mathematics at Lehigh University invites applications for visiting assistant professor positions for academic year 2022-2023 or for fall 2022. Preference for these positions is new or recent Ph.D's with outstanding promise in teaching. This is a non-tenure track, 1 year position. If positions are available, renewal for a second year would depend on excellent teaching. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester, which may include evening courses. We will also consider applications for adjunct positions teaching 1 or 2 courses per semester or fall only positions. The College of Arts and Sciences at Lehigh is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Review of applications will begin immediately. Applications should be submitted on-line at https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs. A candidate’s application should include: (a) an AMS cover sheet;
(b) a complete vita, (c) a statement of teaching philosophy; and (d) at least three letters of recommendation, at least two of which addresses the candidate's
teaching ability. Inquiries can be addressed to the chair of the
department, Garth Isaak, gisaak@lehigh.edu. |
