We seek a global mathematics research leader for a CRC Tier 1 position in Geometric Dynamics. The successful candidate will be eligible to hold a position as an Associate Professor or as a Professor (both with tenure) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. The anticipated starting date will be September 1, 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be an established researcher with a record of world-class research accomplishments in the area of geometric dynamics, demonstrated excellence in teaching and supervision at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, a strong track record of attracting research funding, extensive prior experience in outreach activities to the broader community including groups that are under-represented in academic mathematics, and a track record in supporting equity, diversity and inclusion. Administrative experience is also essential for this position. Duties include ongoing leadership in mathematical research, service to the Department and the academic community, student teaching and supervision. Salary will be commensurate with experience and research record.
