The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Statistics. Candidates with research expertise and interests in areas of statistics that are relevant to bioinformatics, biology, biomedical engineering, computer science, earth sciences, economics, geography, machine learning, neuroscience, and the social sciences are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must show outstanding capacity and achievement in research as well as excellence in teaching statistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to diversity. A Ph.D. in statistics or a related field is required. Our Department is committed to building and sustaining a diverse and cohesive community of scholars.
