The department of Mathematics at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor with teaching and research interests in combinatorics, beginning fall semester 2019. Completion of the Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire.

Colgate values and supports research and teaching of high quality. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a strong research profile that primarily reflects Mathematical Subject Classification area 5. In addition to supporting introductory level offerings, teaching expectations include contributions to required proof-writing and capstone courses as well as established or new electives in combinatorics. All Colgate faculty are expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
