The School of Mathematics at Monash University invites applicants for the position of Research Fellow to work on a project in low-dimensional topology. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Professor Jessica Purcell and Dr Daniel Mathews in a research topic fitting with their group in low-dimensional topology. Current lines of research include, but are not restricted to: interactions between low-dimensional and quantum topology, hyperbolic geometry, contact structures, and computational topology. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics or a related field, with a strong background in low-dimensional topology. This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation.
