ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR in DATA SCIENCE and/or STATISTICS

The Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS) in the College of Science at the University of Notre Dame is accepting applications for multiple positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank in data science and/or statistics to be filled this year.  There is a preference for applicants whose research includes multi-disciplinary collaborations.  Successful candidates in data science will hold an affiliation with Notre Dame’s Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society.

ACMS includes research groups in applied mathematics, statistics, and computational science. ACMS offers a Bachelor of Science, a doctoral degree, a research master’s degree, and a professional master’s degree.  The teaching load in ACMS is competitive and the position begins in August 2022.     

We will begin reviewing completed applications on November 1 and continue accepting applications through December 31, 2021.

Qualifications

The successful applicants must have a doctorate in statistics or a closely related field.
