At the University of Göttingen -Public Law Foundation-, Mathematisches Institut, there is a position as

PhD positions (all genders welcome) - Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L/75%

to be filled. Starting date is 10/1/2022. The position is limited to 3 years. The salary is in accordance with the German public service salary scale (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L).

The positions are advertised as part of the Research Training Group 2491 "Fourier Analysis and Spectral Theory" at the Georg-August University of Goettingen.

Your profile

- Master degree in mathematics or equivalent

- Research focus with an analytical profile in one of the areas number theory, geometry, non-commutative geometry, topology, analysis of partial differential equations, mathematical physics

- Language proficiency in English or German

The posts are designed to serve in fostering young researchers. It gives the successful applicant the opportunity to obtain a doctoral degree. The positions are suitable for part-time employment. The successful applicants work within the research program of the Research Training Group. As members of the Research Training Group they benefit from its qualification program, with advanced and tailor-made courses on the topics of the Research Training Group. An intensive visitors program, frequent workshops and PhD schools will contribute to a vibrant scientific environment.
