Potential areas of research include mathematical and computational models of: cardiac fluid dynamics and fluid-structure interaction, particularly in therapies for valvular heart disease such as transcatheter valve replacement cardiac electrophysiology, especially atrial fibrillation cardiac electro-mechanical coupling thrombosis, particularly in atrial fibrillation or following transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required. Applicants should also have substantial experience with scientific computing using compiled software languages (e.g., C, C++, Fortran).
