Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics (Starting Spring 2023)

Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Mathematics

Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position in Mathematics to begin Spring 2023. This position will be at the rank of lecturer or assistant teaching professor (depending on qualifications). The candidate must have a strong commitment to working collaboratively with a focus on facilitating student success in the precalculus courses (algebras with and without trig), as well as business calculus and mathematics courses for non-STEM majors. A bachelor's degree in mathematics, and a master's degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education or relevant field with teaching experience in the above areas is required. Faculty members are expected to perform scholarly activity; advising and mentoring students; and service to the school and college. Initial appointment will begin January 1, 2023, and run until June 30, 2024 with renewal contingent on performance and college enrollments.
