Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics (Fall 2023)

Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position in Mathematics to begin Fall 2023.

This position will be at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor (depending on qualifications). The candidate must have a strong commitment to working collaboratively, with a dedicated focus on facilitating student success in the precalculus courses (algebras with and without trig) and mathematics courses for non-STEM majors. Business calculus may also be a consideration commensurate with candidate's background and experience.

A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, and a Master's degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education, or relevant field with teaching experience in the above areas is required. Candidates will be appointed to the rank of Lecturer until a Ph.D. is in hand. Faculty members are expected to perform scholarly activity; advise and mentor students; and participate in service to the school and college.

Appointment to begin with the Fall, 2023, semester with renewal contingent on performance and college enrollments.
