Full time. 35 Hours per week

Fixed term for 1 year, with possibility of extension to 2 years

Applications are invited for the post of Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Algebraic geometry, Representation theory and related areas.

The Opportunity:

The post is available from October 2023, or a mutually agreed date. The position is funded by Dr Ben Davison’s Royal Society Enhanced Research Expenses award, and the successful applicant will be expected to pursue work as part of a team on enumerative algebraic geometry and/or representation theory as part of his team, as well as pursuing their own independent research programme. The candidate will report to the PI Ben Davison.

Candidates with expertise in at least one of: Donaldson-Thomas theory, derived symplectic geometry, mathematical Physics, geometric representation theory, categorification and matrix factorisations are especially encouraged to apply.

Post-holders will be able to pursue their own research questions in addition to joining these larger efforts. The post-holder will join our thriving and growing algebra/geometry/topology group at the Hodge Institute and will be encouraged to interact broadly with the entire group.
