The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University is seeking a qualified individual for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor in the area of Computational Mathematics. This is a nine-month position and the desired starting date is August 16, 2018. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Postdoctoral research experience with an interdisciplinary research component and strong computing skills are desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to: (1) develop her/his independent research program in Computational Mathematics, (2) interact with and contribute to interdisciplinary research at Auburn University, (3) advise and mentor students, and (4) have a strong commitment to high quality teaching.
