Auburn University - Department of Mathematics and Statistics Tenure Track Position in Mathematics, Open Area The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University is seeking to fill a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 16, 2023. Candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered. An earned doctorate in Mathematics by the appointment start date is required. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Postdoctoral research experience is required. Successful candidates are expected to be able to communicate effectively in English. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. The department has a PhD program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science. It has over 50 mathematicians/statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in a wide variety of areas in mathematics and statistics.
